前線記者的家書
看罷朱凱迪向全港記者發出的號召，忽然覺悟，原來我那任職新聞工作的家姐已於緬甸逗留近十日...至少替母親大人撰寫電郵也有三數次，但有限的書信即使再多，恐怕也承載不了對愛女，對受災害家庭的憂心。
以下是一個前線記者的家書，但身份保密，免得影響當時人的採訪工作。
Letter 1 (7/5/2008)
是日情況：熱帶氣旋納吉斯，在周末以每小時190公里的速度侵襲緬甸，災後的緬甸滿目瘡痍，緬甸政府5日表示，死亡人數估計達到1萬5000人，而且人數可能還會增加，目前包括美國和國際紅十字會等組織已動員救災工作。
Hi all,
I am doing fine here, just a bit tired everyday as we work late and need to wake up early. It's very hot outside that I sometimes can't stand for long. People here are actually nice, but difficult to communicate due to the language problem.
So far I am not the one to get down to the disaster area yet. I mainly do planning, talking to people to line-up something to build a better network. But again it's difficult as phones are down here and it's not easy to get access to internet esp. when I don't have a computer with me.
I am not sure if I have to stay here till the referendum here. I don’t even know when the referendum has been postponed. Please pray for my saftey and health. I am missing you all all the time.

Dear my daughter
We received you mail and message from fatty, we also talked your work and your need in prayer. Pastor choi and church everyone they all know it was difficult, but our Lord must listen our pray for you, good health, fully peace and have people or partner to help your problem.
Your Dad says seriously that you should quit your job not later than this year, however, if you have had planning, u are okay, just attended your work, no worry.
You are not responsible for anyone, but I know your work must good experience for life.

Letter 2 (12/5/2008)
是日情況：緬甸官方昨公布風災最新死亡數字為28,458，另有33,416人失蹤。聯合國同日則估計死亡人數可能在63,290至101,682之間，另有22萬人失蹤，受災人數或高達190萬人，並警告可能觸發環境問題、騷亂及大規模遷徙。

It's always nice to receive your email, especially when you are writing in English. I feel happy and am touched!
Sorry for having no time to write email. As said before, it's not easy for me to access to Internet, either it's too slow or I am not in a place where I can find computer.
I have travelled down to the southern river where I saw dead people the first time. I just feel the blessing from God that He gave me a good driver who speaks good English, knows what we are doing and brave to work with us. I want to cry when I saw a dead baby hanging on the broken tree along the river.
We brought some food and water to the places we visited and I didn't eat much there as they were the people who need to eat, not me. For the 2-day-1-night trip yesterday, I was arranged to sleep in a community hall near refugee camp.
Weather is hot and I had a lot of mosquito bites. I slept on the floor but there was no roof as the ceiling was blown away. But the villages gave us a mat on the floor, a hard pillow and a blanket. It's a FIRST class hotel service!! I feel bad for using their places and material. When it rained suddenly during midnight time, the place where we slept was flooded. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. But I felt the peace. And I prayed to God to help these people.
So far I am still doing fine, but I still need to travel down to the south again for the aid program in the disaster area. If I need to travel down, I just want my health still good, and we are able to find a guest house with electricity and proper hygiene. So far I have no idea how those people go to toilet with no tissue paper...
Anyway, it's a dirty trip with lots of mud on my feet and jeans, but it's always an adventurous and memorable trip that I will never have in my life if I don't come over here.
Tell dad I am okay, ask him to pray for me as God listens. Thanks to those who pray for me in the church too. I really appreciated that. Please also let Fatty know I am fine, just not able to write emails or make phone calls these days.

Really waiting for your mails just like bible said that many gold cannot change--it was so warm. No more words talk to you, we know you were hardworking day & night, without a hot soup and a good sleep. Dad & Mum want you to quit the trip once you can ensure your health status, esp dad said that you are not a man, it's already a memorable experience in your career.
Last but not least, will you be back on 16 May? Do update your situation. You are in our prayer.
